Snowmobile routes

Ylitornio manages the snowmobile routes that connect the Tornio border with Pello, which has routes to the lake villages of Alposjärvi, Miekojärvi and Vietonen. There is a snowmobile route between Vietonen and Rovaniemi. The municipality has maintained the snowmobile route between Kainuunkylä and Ratasjärvi this winter. Using the snowmobile routes is the driver’s responsibility.

Both Finland and Sweden will chart new potential snowmobile routes in their territories in the coming years.
